Life is good

General conference is two of our very most favorite weekends of the year. Once again we went with some questions that needed to be answered in our own personal life. What a blessing it is to hear messages from our living prophet and apostles, and the general leader ship of the church. Of course I always love to be in my own home and have my pajamas on and sit real comfortably, but I do have to tell you that as we went to the chapel to hear the sessions that it truly blessed our lives, and we felt an abundance amount of spirit. We both cried joyfully when President Nelson announced a new temple would be built in Grand Rapids Michigan. Our heavenly father hears our prayers. Jesus Christ leads this marvelous work. He is mighty to save. We hope our faith will continue to increase. Our testimonies will grow and our conversion deep in as we continue to pray for each area to be strengthened with this announcement of the temple. We as a whole mission have been praying every morning together in our own individual homes at 6:31 AM for a new temple to be announced in our mission boundaries . God is good!!!!!

We absolutely loved when President Nelson said in his remarks in Sunday’s first session:

“ The complexities and challenges of the world leave many feeling overwhelmed and exhausted. Making and keeping covenants makes life easier. The Savior has promised: ‘ come onto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.’ ( Matthew 11: 28). Those who live the higher laws of Jesus Christ have access to his higher power. Thus, covenant keepers are entitled to a special kind of rest.”

We as individuals have the great opportunity to embrace our Savior, make life easier, not easy, and find sacred rest. What an amazing time to serve a mission.

We also loved the quote from President Nelson that talked about revelation, ( In the April 2018 General conference) “ To be sure, there may be times when you feel as though the heavens are closed. But I promise that as you continue to be obedient, expressing gratitude for every blessing the Lord gives you, and as you patiently honor the Lords timetable, you will be given the knowledge and understanding you seek. Every blessing the Lord has for you – even miracles- Will follow. That is what personal revelation will do for you… my Dear Brothers and Sisters , I plead with you to increase your spiritual capacity to receive revelation. Let this Easter Sunday be a defining moment in your life.”

How Grateful we are for their wonderful messages to us every six months and what a great opportunity for us to read, and study them.

I sure love Young Women, we painted rocks to put around the areas in which they all live. Realizing that our branch is about a 50 mile radius.
Here’s a few of our rocks, they really turned out cute!
We got a new branch presidency which we are so excited about. So for our fun night this month we honor them and try to find out more about them. So we had a bunch of questions we ask them and then you put a star on them.
By the end of the night they had stars all over them, it was such a great success we had six non-members to that activity, that is the last one that we will be doing before we get home.
This was after general conference in between sessions we had a potluck lunch.
We were able to go to the Chicago Temple with our branch this last Saturday, it took us about four hours because of traffic to get there. It was a full day but it was well worth the drive.
These are some of our branch members that went to the temple.
This is a picture of the Chicago skyline!!

There are trees everywhere in Michigan! And everything is starting to be brilliant colors, it is spectacular!!!

Love you all!
